This article is an article written by Dr. Gallagher, an Associate Professor at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He has a Master’s Degree in Law and is a former Associate Director of the Immigration Law Clinic at the U.S. Department of Justice.
Dr. George Gallagher was born in New Jersey. After graduating from Amherst College, he went on to receive his Masters and Doctorate in Law from Arizona State University. His dissertation topic is “Employment Discrimination for Immigrants and Non-immigrants: The Dilemma of Employer Discrimination.” Dr. Gallagher is currently serving as a lecturer at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He is also writing a book entitled “Law and the Law of Immigration: Cases and Controversies.”
Dr. Gallagher has written over seventy published articles and book chapters on immigration law, the U.S. immigration system, and the role of immigration lawyers. He is also a frequent guest in radio shows, television programs, and other venues to discuss issues concerning immigration law, immigration policy, and the U.S. immigration system. He also conducts private practice seminars and presentations about immigration law and the U.S. immigration system. Dr. Gallagher earned a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences from Amherst College and a Bachelor of Science in Law from the University of Florida. His publications include “The Immigration Wars: An Ethnography of the Immigration Debate” in the Harvard Journal of Law & Gender; “Law and the Law of Immigration,” in the Harvard Law Review; and “The Migration Crisis,” in the Harvard Law Review.
