Mental Health is a state of psychological well being or an absence of psychiatric illness. It is the mental condition of an individual who is “performing at a satisfying level of behavioral and emotional adjustment.” The mental health of a person is usually measured on the basis of the individual’s mental health their ability to function in society the extent of distress and the quality of their relationships. It can be described as a person’s capacity for mental health. Some types of mental health can also be diagnosed by a doctor such as bipolar disorder depression anxiety disorders schizophrenia social phobia post traumatic stress disorder schizophrenia and autism. These conditions have similar symptoms but can differ with each one. People with certain types of mental health can be diagnosed with other mental health conditions like substance abuse suicidal tendencies and self-harm.

There are several mental health treatment programs available some of which include inpatient care outpatient therapy or both. Some of the treatment programs are for short term use and can be achieved through psychotherapy some may require medication while others rely on hypnotherapy.
