The town of Bullock County, Missouri is located about thirty minutes east of Kansas City. The location has been in existence for over a hundred years and is home to the historic Bullock Oil Field. The town was named after Joseph Bullock, who worked as an oilman in the area. His son, Jesse, inherited the business and brought many improvements to the town including the Bullock Oil Company building that is now a historic landmark in the area.\n\n \n\nThe Bullock County satellite is situated on land that was once owned by a company called Bullock Brothers that was known for its well-known gold mines. Many gold mines still exist today in the Bullock County area. There are many historical buildings in the area as well as historical attractions and the town has been referred to as the Gold Springs of the Plains of South Dakota. There is a high school known as the Johnson Central Community College and several public schools that offer a variety of different educational opportunities to residents.\n\n \n\nBullock County is the second largest city in the State of Missouri and is located on the eastern side of Kansas City. The City of Liberty is located in the south central area of the city and is easily accessible from the city by road. The County is also located on the eastern side of Kansas City and is considered the city’s downtown area. The city is located about fifty miles south of Kansas City in Leavenworth, Kansas.
