Crisis Preparation and Recovery Inc. in Scottsdale AZ were founded in 2009 by two former Army Rangers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Their mission is to assist and train law enforcement officials in crisis situations with the hope that it will prevent or reduce officer involved shooting fatalities in Scottsdale. In Scottsdale they provide their services in the Scottsdale area, but also have their service bureau in San Diego as well as a number of other offices throughout the nation.
As you might imagine, when an officer gets into a crisis situation, there is going to be a very difficult time for the officer, the scene, the suspect and the victim. However, while this is certainly not easy, the crisis team members are not there to simply take pictures and give the suspect a mental picture of what is happening. Instead, the goal of the crisis team is to make sure that an officer can arrive in a timely manner, while ensuring that the suspect and his family are safe.
