Freedom House is an U.S-based U.S-government-funded private non-profit organization which conducts advocacy and research on human rights democracy and political freedom. Freedom House was established in October 1941 by Franklin D. Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin who were both keen on preserving democracy in the world. Freedom House has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize five times most recently in 2020.
Freedom House was started by President Roosevelt to promote democratic principles worldwide including civil liberties economic prosperity and peace among nations. Since its establishment Freedom House has made efforts to promote democracy through education research and media. Freedom House aims at building a peaceful world for future generations.
