“In November 2020, the Jewish Community Centers of Chandler AZ became part of a national family and children’s ministry, called COVOD (Coalition for Jewish Family & Children). “COVID” is a term used to describe an integrated network of community-based programs that serve families of all religions and ethnicities. “COVID-20” will be taking place in January 2020. Our community is involved with many COVOD partner organizations.
“Since COVOD has developed over the past decade, Jewish family services and other services have been enhanced and expanded. The center offers many programs that include Jewish education, Jewish holidays and festivals, Jewish leadership development, Jewish summer camp, Jewish cultural festivals, Jewish music and art, Jewish law and spiritual education and Jewish learning to children, teens and adults. “Jewish Community Centers of Chandler AZ is a member of COVOD and has an important role in the continuing evolution of this network. We continue to be actively engaged in our community and work with other COVOD members to help strengthen our families and communities, while providing quality services for all who seek them. “We have become very grateful for the opportunity to play a part in helping to make COVOD a reality and a model for other centers in the region.
“Jewish children’s ministry is important and a priority for all of us. We recognize that the health of our families is very important to everyone, and we want our families to be healthy. There is no way that we can achieve that without the involvement and help of our community in the areas of education, health care, social services, and so much more. We are so thankful that our community has taken an active role in shaping the future of our families. For this we are deeply grateful to our partners in COVOD.” -JFCS Executive Director, Mark B.
