Lassen Maureen K Phd has been given the award for excellence in teaching in the field of biochemistry at the ASU School of Medicine, Phoenix AZ. Maureen has a master’s degree in biology and an undergraduate degree in biology. She works in the Phoenix area as a biochemist and molecular biologist. Her teaching is varied and broad and her students are very satisfied with her work.
Maureen has had many years of experience as a lecturer and trainer in biochemistry. In addition to being a clinical biochemist she is a consultant, public speaker and a public speaker. Her educational background is in physiology, genetics and animal behavior. She is also a former school teacher in Phoenix, Arizona. She began teaching as a junior high science teacher before being promoted to an elementary school science teacher. She was also an assistant principal in the Phoenix Schools.

She has been appointed by the Arizona State Board of Education to serve on its Education Committee. She is also a member of the Arizona Biological Resource Commission and has served on the board of directors for the Arizona State University Research Foundation. She has been active in community organizations such as the Arizona Mothers Union, Arizona Family Services, the Arizona Hispanic Women, the Phoenix Boys and Girls Club, and the Phoenix Area Youth Center.
