As the founder and president of the Dr. Michael German Scholars Program, Dr. German has worked hard to bring scholarship to underrepresented minority students, and he does so in an effort to improve their lives through higher education and self-fulfillment. Through his scholarship program, he aims to help students achieve the academic and social goals that they have set for themselves and their families by creating opportunities and empowering people to become better individuals.
His scholarship programs are funded by private foundations, organizations, corporations and the state of Arizona. These resources provide students with a wide variety of educational and career options, with each individual specializing in different areas. A large percentage of Dr. German’s scholarship recipients will receive either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree. They will be able to find employment after obtaining their degrees, as well as become successful leaders in society. Their professional and personal lives will be enriched and changed by their academic achievements and self-actualization.
As a part of his scholarship work, Dr. German works closely with his recipients, helping them through their college applications, college planning, college admissions and on. He has helped many students get out of low-performing schools and into colleges and universities that provide more personalized instruction and a higher quality of education. He believes that his scholarship efforts are part of a mission to empower and transform people.
