The Valle Del Sol Inc. Family Services Center offers a wide array of services to meet the needs of the children, families and adults who come through their doors. They provide specialized services for special needs children, including autism, Alzheimer’s disease, physical and mental disabilities and the aging population. The Center has its own Child Care Program, which provides services for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. They also serve the indigent population, providing a variety of community-based assistance services. The Department of Aging is a division within the Center, and they provide services to seniors in Phoenix. The Department of Social Services provides a number of social service programs in addition to the Family Services program at the Center.
The Center is located at 14500 Southwestern Pkwy., Phoenix AZ. The center serves individuals and families in all communities of the Valley. They are the only Arizona Child Welfare agency which provides a number of unique and special programs and services. Some of these programs and services include:
The Arizona Public Safety Program is one of the program areas of the Center. The purpose of this program is to help the family members of the person who may be on the verge of committing suicide or otherwise harming themselves. In many instances, family members feel that the person who is hurting himself or herself is not having suicidal thoughts, but they are just depressed.
