The Clinton Foundation also hopes to provide a menu of comprehensive resources for tackling the opioid epidemic, Chan said. Through partnerships with Harvard Health Publications and Johns Hopkins University, the Clinton Foundation has developed educational programs that run the gamut from addressing opioid dependency in the workplace to taking a public health approach to combating substance abuse.
Moving forward, the foundation hopes to continue expanding efforts to educate the public and provide real solutions to the opioid epidemic. Chan believes the most promise lies in cross-sector partnerships, and the Clinton Foundation has made it clear that they are agnostic about which companies they will consider partnering with, so long as they provide innovative and effective methods of combating substance abuse.
