National Governors Association sponsors opioid addiction recovery learning lab for prisons

the state has provided innovative opioid addiction recovery treatment to its justice-involved population through the utilization of the correctional system and drug courts.

By providing these states with the opportunity to see how Massachusetts has piloted programs aimed at addiction recovery treatment, the NGA hopes to work toward the goals laid out by Compact to Fight Opioid Addiction.

“The goal of this learning lab is for participating state teams to develop and implement strategic action plans focused on the best practices they learn during the June Learning Lab kick-off meeting,” Waskey said.
