There are many things about the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home that is heartbreaking. The first thing to know is that there are many children here who do not have a family of their own. Most of the children live on their own because they do not have one. There are many foster children who are in this home and it is a great thing for them to have someone close to them to rely on. However, many of the foster children also have serious problems with drugs and alcohol. It is heartbreaking when you learn about all of these things.
The children at the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home have had horrible abuse from the time they were brought into the home and the abuse only seems to get worse as time goes on. They are forced to sleep in closets and on the ground all day so they can feel safe. The staff members at the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home are not equipped to deal with the abuse and the children will end up dying from it. Some of the children will even end up being sexually abused. The abuse is so severe that many times they end up losing a limb from an overdose of drugs or alcohol.
The child abuse is so bad that most people who work in the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home are not even allowed in because of the nature of what happens to the children here. When I learned this, I wanted to help stop it from happening. I made sure to talk to the director of the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home, so that all the children could get the proper help that they needed. He told me that he was not going to put any children with the people who caused the abuse because it was not fair to them.
