Family Life Center (FLCC) provides long term, emergency, short term, and community assistance to homeless families. It also provides the basic resources and skills that low-income families will need in order to make the transition from short-term assistance to permanent living. It is part of the Housing Authority of Atlanta (HAOA). The organization has four housing centers in Atlanta – Roswell, Norcross, Dunwoody, and Lawrenceville.\n\n \n\nThe staff at Family Life Center is committed to providing a positive experience for all of its clients. Every individual receives personalized attention and service to ensure that they are receiving appropriate services. They are taught basic first aid techniques that will help them during emergencies. Families can also attend classes to learn how to properly care for their families. The program provides a variety of services that include helping homeless mothers and their children, assisting with employment, child care assistance, medical care, and housing referrals. The Family Life Center staff will also teach parents the skills necessary to become self-sufficient. In addition to this, they will also teach residents about personal responsibility, financial management, and community awareness.\n\n \n\nLong term help is provided to families that are experiencing hardships due to eviction, bankruptcy, foreclosure, or foreclosure. These families will receive the same comprehensive services that people who are in crisis require in order to make changes to their lives. Many of these families were displaced, have found themselves homeless, or are facing a foreclosure. At Family Life Center, they receive both short and long term assistance. These assistance programs are designed to assist with employment, education, and other basic needs. They will receive housing and food assistance, as well as financial counseling and referrals for government and non-profit agencies. In addition to this, they also provide financial aid for medical costs, as well as housing counseling.
