The National Health Services Corps (NHSC) Mid-South Health System Inc. was created to provide health care services to people living in a nursing home nursing facility rehabilitation center adult day care and group home communities. With the expansion of group home services across Arkansas and across the nation there is an increased need for qualified health care personnel to provide services to the growing number of individuals who live in these facilities.
The mission of the Mid-South Health System Inc. is to create a “model of quality” to build and sustain a quality environment that makes individuals comfortable while providing quality services. The Mid South Health System includes a network of organizations that bring together residents physicians nurses administrators and administrators of the facilities. This network works with other providers to coordinate care so that the individual can receive quality services at the most affordable rate. The network has a long term goal of transforming the way that care in a nursing home or community service agency is provided.
There are many services provided to residents of nursing homes rehabilitation centers adult day care centers and group homes in Arkansas through the efforts of the Mid-South Health System. These services include but are not limited to; emergency care respite care basic life support geriatric services home health care and specialized care for individuals with special needs. These services are designed to help patients their caregivers and others who are involved in the care of individuals who are elderly and/or suffering from some type of health problem. These services are available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. When you contact the services provided by the Mid-South Health System you will be able to find a doctor to see when you need him or her; a registered nurse to take care of your medical needs; and a number of other health care professionals who will help to ensure that your individual’s needs are met in the most affordable and convenient way possible.
