The Our Place Clubhouse is a beautiful piece of property located in Tucson, Arizona. This clubhouse is owned and operated by the Tucson Historical Society. It sits on a corner lot right next to the downtown Tucson Convention Center and Tucson Central Park. The Clubhouse was constructed in 1970 with the assistance of the United States military. The clubhouse was then used by the military as a hang out place.
The Our Place Clubhouse has an interesting history and is a historical landmark. It was purchased by the US military during World War II when it was being used as a base for airdromes. This served as a vital transportation route for the troops. After the war the clubhouse was repurposed for many things such as storage. During the 1950’s the clubhouse was also a military training center. There are many artifacts inside the clubhouse that you can see. This historical landmark is a must visit if you are a member of the Tucson Historical Society.
The clubhouse is open all year round and offers a variety of amenities such as a picnic area, a private swimming pool, an indoor parking area and an outdoor barbeque grill. The clubhouse was also constructed with the help of a US Air Force Base Contractor.
