Treatment Assessment Screening Centre (TASC) a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the health of people their communities and the world around them through dedication passion and effective practices. TASC works to improve the lives of individuals suffering from mental illness addictions substance abuse or developmental disabilities. Our focus is on providing treatment options and comprehensive care and we work in collaboration with our community members to provide training information support resources education and awareness.
Treatment evaluation screenings are based on an individual’s history and current status. A thorough assessment includes a physical exam and medical history mental health evaluation psychosocial assessments medications physical examination lab tests electrocardiogram blood tests x-rays physical therapy psychological evaluation mental health evaluation and special education services. The screening process is performed by trained professionals who administer and interpret standardized diagnostic tools and assessments. Once completed a diagnosis is made of any disorders and conditions that present themselves in the screening and treatment. A plan of care and action is then recommended.
Treatment assessment screening centres offer treatment and rehabilitation to patients with varying levels of severity and complexity. Depending on the type of disorder you may be admitted into a one-time or ongoing treatment facility. The assessment process will provide information on the severity of your condition along with any past issues you may have faced. Through this assessment treatment options are then identified. There is an ongoing need for assessment screening centres across Canada with a projected demand of more than 300 screening centres by the year 2020. The screening process is designed to determine if you meet the criteria for treatment rehabilitation or life style improvement.
