According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services a staggering fifty percent of the population is uninsured or under insured making Healthcare (CPIH) and Mental Health Services (MHSS) essential. However the state of Arizona has not been proactive in providing services for uninsured residents leaving people with no protection against rising costs. In a nutshell Healthcare (CPIH) and Mental Health Services (MHSS) are both “public services” provided to the general public by private nonprofit agencies. The two are funded by taxes on individuals and businesses. Both services provide an essential service to the public but only one of them has been effectively administered with both the State of Arizona and the Federal government providing the necessary funds to make these services available to the community.
Healthcare (CPIH) is provided to every resident in Arizona as well as to residents of all states in the nation through Medicaid private insurance plans and Medicare Part D. As a matter of fact it is a major government health program designed to help citizens afford health coverage. The primary goal of CMSH is to ensure that the elderly children pregnant women and disabled individuals have access to quality healthcare. CMSH also aims to reduce the cost of health care through the expansion of healthcare services and programs. Additionally CMSH ensures that mentally ill and addicted individuals receive the treatment they need to return to a normal lifestyle. With the advent of new technologies mental health and healthcare services have become more advanced and sophisticated. This has helped improve mental health and care services and the quality of life of the mentally ill and addicted people.
According to CMSH it is critical that each individual receives appropriate treatment to ensure the continued development of a healthy and active life. CMSH seeks to ensure that the mentally ill and addicted persons are able to access quality healthcare by providing them with proper mental health and healthcare services. However many Arizona residents live without access to care through CMSH due to lack of funding and/or inadequate insurance coverage. This gap in care costs millions of dollars each year. Therefore it is imperative that everyone who lives in the State of Arizona to obtain affordable health insurance which would provide coverage for Mental Health and Healthcare Services (MHSS) for all citizens in the State.
