From its inception: Incorporated on April 5, 1975, East Side Mental Healthcare Center provides a variety of services to individuals with mental disorders living in the eastern Jefferson, Blount, Quitman and Madison counties of Alabama. The center serves those who have been diagnosed with disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders and other emotional disorders. In addition, the center offers services for individuals who have been in foster care or are homeless. The center strives to help each patient maintain his/her independence by providing the proper treatment, counseling, and assistance to help them overcome mental health disorders and live a more productive life.
