CHARLOTTE NC – For nine of the ten agencies that it houses inside of its massive 100000 square foot facility it offers shared space collaborative work space and technology financial services and personnel management. The other two agencies are housed in a separate building within the center’s boundaries. The Charlotte Adult Services Center and the Charlotte Youth Services Center to serve many different groups including families teens and people in the Charlotte community.
The Child and Family Services Center is a local institution and are not affiliated with any nationwide agency. The center is an independent entity and is responsible for its own budget and resources as well as the administration of all of its clients. Most of the child and family service centers are located on the downtown core of Charlotte but there are also some outlying areas and rural areas which offer great programs for those who live outside of Charlotte North Carolina. Some of the areas include the rural areas of Greensboro Cary Apex and Wilmington.
The Charlotte Adult Services Center is a private and non-profit organization dedicated to providing programs for adults and children that require an extended commitment from both parties. This service centers provide a variety of services to clients that include housing and foster care rehabilitation education and employment. Some of their services that are provided by staff consist of assisting parents and families find permanent jobs; providing education and information to children and parents concerning substance abuse drug addiction and the negative impact it can have on them and educating students about their own rights. In addition they also provide help with legal issues surrounding child support family law spousal abuse domestic violence and abuse and other criminal laws. These services are usually provided at a monthly or semi-annual basis. There are also some agencies that offer services to families in need of assistance while they are still receiving services through government assistance programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and WIC and/or Medicaid.
