Mental Health is the general state of mental health or an absence of mental disease. It is usually the condition of an individual that is “functioning well on a satisfactory emotional and physical level”. People who have low levels of self-esteem and/or are under depression and are suffering from stress related symptoms will have a higher risk for developing mental illnesses. The symptoms can include but are not limited to feelings of sadness hopelessness nervousness and anxiety.
There are different mental health disorders. There is also a wide range of treatments available. Some people are prescribed medication for treating depression or prescribed therapy and even psychotherapy. Others can opt to go through a specialized mental health rehabilitation program. These programs allow patients to improve their mental health without the use of medication. Patients can be treated for their depression anxiety and stress related symptoms. Sometimes people with very low self-esteem can get help through therapy and group therapies.

However you should always consider the source of information before taking any action and take steps that are in your best interest. It would be best if you find out what the exact cause of your problem is and what type of treatment is most appropriate. If you do decide to seek professional help you need to find someone that is qualified to treat you.
