Banner – University Medical Center in Tucson AZ, formerly University Hospital and University Medical Center, is an acute care teaching hospital located on the Campus of the University of Tucson in Tucson Arizona. The medical center is dedicated to serving and providing health services to patients in both the community and throughout the state. In addition, Banner is committed to offering quality, compassionate patient care, through its comprehensive program of integrated care and services.

It has been nationally recognized as an Accreditation by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Allied Health Schools and Programs (JCAHPS). The staffs at the Banner University Medical Centre have earned a number of awards from the American College of Surgeons and The Academy of Family Medicine, both of which are recognized for their commitment to excellence in care and patient care. The University medical centre is one of only two hospitals in Arizona to achieve the status of a “super specialty” hospital, as designated by the United States Department of Defense (DoD). This designation means that the hospital is able to offer the services and treatment required for specific clinical requirements, whether they be from the military or civilian populations. The hospital is also accredited by the Association of Specialty Programs in Global Medicine (ASPGM), an organization that evaluates hospitals on their clinical practice standards and effectiveness. In addition, the hospital is accredited by the Arizona State Board of Medical Examiners (ASBME).
