Reopening the base will create an influx of employment opportunities. Persily explained that the treatment center is recruiting cooks, groundskeepers, nurses, administrative personnel, security officers and many other professionals to join their team.
Job fairs are expected to be held soon, one in the spring and the other in early summer. Once fully operational, Highland Hospital estimates 200 employees will staff Sugar Grove. Following a successful completion of the program, patients may also be offered future positions as they become available.
Persily anticipates the Highlands at Sugar Grove will accept most forms of insurance. The center plans to open its doors in July 2018.
