The Cornerstone Mission Project is a non-profit organization which provides housing and related services to formerly homeless individuals. The Transitional Living House was built by the Cornerstone Mission and is located at the corner of Wickenburg and Broadway in downtown Phoenix. The Living Sober House is a transitional housing program that provides services for those who are homeless and struggling with drug alcohol or substance abuse issues. The Living Sober House consists of four apartments for formerly homeless individuals. The Living Sober House is run by the Cornerstone Mission and is not funded through federal grants. The Living Sober House is one of twelve homes that make up the Living Transitional Housing Program in Phoenix.
The Living Sober House offers all the basic amenities and services that one would expect in housing. These include a large one-room apartment a large furnished kitchen and laundry area. One also has their own laundry and washer facilities. The Living Sober House also offers recreational activities such as swimming pools exercise centers video games and access to the Cornerstone Mission community’s library. The Living Transitional Housing Program at the Living Sober House has a number of residents. Each resident will receive individual and group counseling and support services.
The Living Sober House is owned by the Cornerstone Mission. The Living Sober House is supported by grants from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the United States Department of State. The living programs at the Living Transitional Housing Program are designed to assist in creating a safer healthier and more stable environment for individuals who are homeless or at risk for becoming homeless.
