The Laziness Affair is a contemporary novel by Lois Cacin and was released in the fall of 2008. Lois Cacin is a professional book editor from California who writes and edits the books for other writers. Her debut novel was the successful award winning “The Laziness Affair.” In this novel she combines a very intriguing plot with a very engaging character to make her own unique literary experience.
This novel takes place in a small town called Glendale, Arizona which was located in the southwestern part of the United States. James J. Schlesinger (a former Marine) writes the novel as his experience in the United States Army. He had many experiences in Iraq, and when he returned to the United States, he wanted to write something that would be of interest to those returning home. So he decided to write a book about the war and the way soldiers handle their time there. In doing so, he created a book that will become an interesting read for both military personnel and others who have never served in the military.
The book is about James J. Schlesinger, who returns from Iraq. He comes home and realizes that he is going to have to do some things that he was not used to doing when he was serving in the military, or at least was not prepared for. There is also a new woman who is dating him and is a member of the Army as well. I highly recommend reading this book if you are looking for a modern military adventure.
