“Lawrence Allen-Ph.D in Tucson AZ is an accomplished professional with a Master’s degree in Psychology and Counselor Education, specializing in helping individuals with mental health concerns. Dr. Allen has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia. He is licensed in both Washington DC and Tucson Arizona. He is active in the area of clinical psychology, and also has a strong background in the mental health field. His books and publications include; “The Pathway to Recovery”Emotional Intelligence: The Power to Change.”
“The Roadmap to Recovery” was written in collaboration with Isabel De Los Rios, PhD and Richard Sipe, PhD. “The Pathway to Recovery” was first published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and the publisher, Drs. Allen and De Los Rios, have released a new edition for a modest fee online. “Lawrence Allen-Ph.D in Tucson AZ” is an excellent self-help book that will benefit those who suffer from the effects of addiction, depression, grief, and other mental health concerns. For many people, this type of program has helped improve their lives and to improve their quality of life.
“The Roadmap to Recovery” describes what we have been told about the “miracle cure,” or “quick fix,” which is available to us from the doctor’s office. In this book, we learn that no miracle cure exists. What we need to change is the way we think. A better understanding of the impact of addiction on the brain’s role in addiction and recovery helps us to develop a better mental health plan and to make informed decisions on when and how to use our mental health treatment options.
