Mental Health is the state of mental health or a lack of mental disorder. It’s the condition of a person who is “functioning well in a satisfactory emotional and/or behavioral balance”. It’s the ability to function at a high level in the society, without being affected by the external forces or negative influences on it. It’s the state that’s not affected by the effects of social or emotional environment.
Mental health should be nurtured at the early age, while still in its developmental stage. As the child grows, it needs to be exposed to various situations that will help them in developing a stable mental condition. But for most of us, it’s difficult to cope with the stress of day to day life. This can lead to mental disorders such as depression and anxiety, that has been known to result in suicide. In many cases, these disorders are caused by the way that we look at life. If we look at our lives as a whole, instead of focusing only on certain areas of our life, we will have a better perspective in life and make better decisions.
Mental health conditions are very important because they can affect one or several aspects of the human life. However, these conditions are not only confined to the physical aspect of our life. It affects our thoughts, our feelings and our sense of responsibility towards the world. Thus, if we are able to live a quality and stable life, we will be a better human being and have greater chances of living a normal life. With that, it’s necessary to seek the help of professionals in order to live a good and healthy life.
