The Substance Use Disorder Clinical Care Program is a collaborative partnership between the University of Alabama at Birmingham, The University of South Florida and the Substance Abuse Institute. The program was designed to enhance the effectiveness of the Substance Abuse Treatment Program and the National Alliance for Model State Drug Laws (NAOMID) in promoting substance abuse treatment across the United States.\n\n \n\nThe Substance Use Disorder Clinical Care Program provides a variety of services that are tailored to meet the needs of the individual client. The clinical team utilizes various methods to provide individuals with the personalized treatment that they deserve. Individuals with substance abuse are not treated like criminals and are provided the care and support that they need to lead a life of stability and freedom.\n\n \n\nThe clinical staff includes qualified professionals with backgrounds in the field of medicine and addiction, and the clinical practice is based on a set of guidelines that have been developed by the NAOMID. The programs focus on three major areas: Individual Treatment, Family-Based Treatment and Residential Substance Abuse Treatment. Each of these three categories has different treatment requirements, which is why it is important to get a thorough evaluation from a professional before deciding on an appropriate treatment for you. If you or someone you know needs substance abuse treatment, please contact the Substance Abuse Clinic for an initial assessment to determine the severity of your situation, as well as what treatment options are available to you. The clinic is located on the third floor of the Substance Abuse Treatment Center on University Blvd. Huntsville AL.
