West Alabama Mental Health Center serves the counties of Hale, Greene, Marengo, and Sumter. This facility is one of the leading facilities for mental health care in all of Alabama. It was originally established in 1977 and is housed within the Old Fort Regional Park. The center is staffed by several doctors as well as several psychologists and other medical professionals.\n\n \n\nThe facility provides many different types of mental health care to residents of Hale, Greene, Marengo, and Sumter Counties. A doctor or psychologist will provide you with a mental health evaluation before any type of treatment will be provided to you. During your initial visit, the staff will discuss your concerns and help you determine the course of action that you will need to take to treat your mental health concerns. There are multiple areas that provide this type of mental health care in West Alabama. The main area is the Hale County Mental Health Services Office. If you have a mental health concern that has been diagnosed by a mental health professional, you can contact your local mental health professional or a counselor at this location to make sure that you have received the proper treatment for your condition. There are many different types of medication that is available at this location and you should ask your therapist what types of medications are available.\n\n \n\nThe Hale County Mental Health Services Office is located at 1011 N. Frontage Road in Hoover. If you are having trouble accessing the main building, the Hale County Government House is located next door to it. In addition to mental health treatment, your counselor or mental health professional will also be able to help you with other types of treatments such as medication and therapy. The staff at this mental health center is extremely caring and they will do everything in their power to provide you with the type of care you need.
