director of the Brien Center, a community-based, non-profit agency assisting in care of substance abuse, stated she hopes that her center can add recovery coaching.
She said they currently are in an affiliation with the DPH and plan on working with them in a DPH training exercise.
The closest recovery drug rehab program is at Westfield State University by Linda Savage.
Savage stated that a drug rehab program that includes recovery coaching presents an opportunity for trust and credibility that can be proposed to someone at a critical time in their life. She said that the public is starting to become aware of the fact that drug treatment is just the start and that the recovery coach has to help see the treatment through to the end.
