Finger Steven C PhD in Yuma AZ holds a PhD in Education Administration and Policy. Steven C. is the founder of a new educational policy think tank called the Center for Policy Innovation and Research, which is part of the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. His research focuses on issues of higher education administration and its impact on society. His primary areas of interest are the evaluation and effectiveness of education policies in public schools, college and university campuses, charter schools, the higher education system in general and what he calls “education democracy.” He has published over 50 books and numerous articles on this subject.
One of the key things he has done is develop a new curriculum for education, called the Center for Education Policy (CDEP). CDEP is designed to help policy makers and citizens evaluate the education policies and practices in various areas of education. For example, there are a number of education policies that deal with public schools. The Center for Education Policy (CDEP) is looking at the effectiveness of these policies in terms of educational attainment, student growth, financial aid, teacher effectiveness, teacher compensation, and other factors. There are also some policies that deal with the quality of teaching in particular subjects. For instance, there are policies related to school vouchers, home schooling and other related policies. The Center for Education Policy is interested in studying these policies in order to determine their effectiveness and their costs.
The Center for Education Policy Think Tank was started in 1996 in Albuquerque, NM and is located at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. The members of the CDEP consist of both academics and non-academics. Members of the public can become members of the CDEP by becoming a member of a university, college, community college or other community learning institution and by providing evidence of their educational progress. All members of the public have access to the CDEP web site and have access to all the education policy think tank’s educational publications.
