40 patients at the same time. Males and females will be treated in separate areas for a minimum of 10 hours before being authorized to leave the center accompanied by another responsible adult.
Before patients get out of the center, they will be connected with other addiction treatment providers, so they can receive long-term counseling or enter an inpatient drug detox program if they wish to.
The Sobering Center is expected to open on May 1 and it will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and every single day of the year.
