JBS Mental Health authority is a voluntary participating centre in the NHS. No person will be refused access to the mental health services provided, because of an inability to afford to pay for them, and will use a sliding/ discounted/refundable charge system to decide charges for each individual. All those with a financial problem are offered a confidential assessment before they are treated and the treatment plan will be tailored to meet their needs. The assessment takes into consideration the person’s medical history and the severity of their mental disorder, as well as any underlying physical health condition. In addition, the plan will take into account any medication and drug use, family background and social background, employment history, and the individual’s ability to manage stress. The plan also involves identifying which type of therapy will best meet the needs of the individual.
When it comes to paying the monthly rate for JBS service the plan is very flexible and you may choose a number of different ways of paying your monthly charges. You can pay either a fixed rate over a certain period or a percentage of your income. The fixed rate can be for a set number of months or years, or it can be for a fixed time period, such as a number of weeks. Those who have the ability to work will normally be able to choose a fixed time period to pay their monthly charges.
JBS service offers a range of treatment programs to suit all needs and there is no limit to how many visits you can have to one of the centres. The centres are designed to give patients a strong support network who will assist with daily life activities. All patients are offered a full range of treatments. Some of the treatments available include therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, respite care, group work, residential care, medication-assisted treatment, group support and some specialised care. Some of these services include medication assisted treatment, where medications can be prescribed to the patient if they require it to control symptoms such as depression, anxiety and stress, and to help alleviate the effects of their illness. Treatment also includes a special type of therapy that will help the patient cope with their diagnosis, develop skills that will enable them to manage their illness more effectively, and gain self-esteem.
