Before Open Beds arrived, it usually took emergency center workers over an hour to find a proper drug rehab center that had room for new patients.

Jennifer Walthall, a secretary of the FSSA, said they will focus on people on drug rehab programs and how to help patients recover from their substance abuse disorders.

She added that the software could involve mental health treatment in the future and that finding patients the right mental health treatment was a continuing obstacle for healthcare providers.
