They also point out that the plan shows the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services would provide $15 million to six counties throughout the state to promote collaborations among hospitals, clinics, drug rehab centers and other facilities that provide addiction treatment services that have been overcrowded with patients with opioid use disorders.

Legislators have explained the bill may be slightly altered and a supplemental bill may be introduced. Hearings will be held until the end of the month and an official budget needs to be approved before the beginning of April.
